Myrto Grigoroglou

Myrto is a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the Department of Linguistics & Cognitive Science at UD. She received her B.A. in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Athens, Greece, and her M.A. in Information and Communication Sciences from the University Paris 3-Sorbonne Nouvelle, France. She is interested in language acquisition and pragmatics. She is currently working on spatial and motion language cross-linguistically with children and adults.

Stefan Bartell

Stefan is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science. He received his B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Chicago in 2013. His main interests lie in language and thought and experimental semantics and pragmatics, in particular the interface of language acquisition, cognitive development, and typological differences. At the moment he is investigating the learnability of evidentiality systems. To divert him, just ask about a game, dream, meme, or norm.

Sarah Fairchild

Sarah is a third-year Ph.D. student in Cognitive Psychology at UD. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Penn State University in 2012, and subsequently held a lab manager position at Penn State's Center for Language Science. She is interested in pragmatics and the interface between language and cognition in monolinguals and bilinguals. She is currently investigating how listeners infer a non-native speaker's intended meaning.

Yue Ji

Yue is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Linguistics & Cognitive Science at UD. She received her B.A. in English Language and Literature, and her M.A. in Foreign Languages and Literature from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. She is interested in child language acquisition, especially the early semantic and pragmatic development. Most recently, she studies the production and comprehension of deictic terms by Mandarin-speaking children and explores the intertwined relationship between language development and Theory of Mind.

Alyssa Kampa

Alyssa is a second-year Ph.D. student in in the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at UD. She received her B.A. in Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies from the University of Wisconsin, with certificates in European Studies and TESOL. She is interested in psycholinguistics, specifically the theory of linguistic relativity and the interface between language and cognition. She also has interests in second language acquisition and pedagogy.

Dionysia Saratsli

Dionysia is a first year PhD student in the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science. She has completed her B.A. in English Language and Literature as well as her M.A. in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She has previously worked as a research assistant in the field of Phonetics, as part of the experimental project SpeakGreek. In general, she is interested in psycholinguistics, language representation in the brain and language disorders.
